Below shows some progress on three of panels. I wanted to show the progress as it this point I began reevaluating the style and see if there is anything that could be improved and adapted to make it more effective.
The first drawing shows my opening panel. I chose to open with a scene to introduce the location and add mystery as to who the character is. This drawing at this stage is unfinished as missing details on the wall and also missing the van that will be seen driving down the road. The idea of this piece was to set the scene and show Mark driving off for work in the early morning, driving past my chosen recognisable monument, The Stonehenge. I like how this is started and lobe the texture in the sky as feeling shows my experimentation with mark making. I also like the sun and how it slowly blended in the sky my playing with this simple yet effective style. To improve on this I feel it is important to focus on the proportions such as for example the details of the wall making sure it doesn't appear slanted and messy.
My second panel, introduces my character swell as his job and main reasoning within the narrative. This panel is also unfinished as it is missing the van however, so far I feel it is looking effective and really begins to introduce Mark. I really liked this panel as it started to add more of the christmassy element with the Santa hat and candy cane lights that are seen on the house behind. To improve I just need to make sure the details on the car match the rest of the scene.
The Third panel is also very much unfinished as I wanted to focus on the scene before adding details such as the van and also snowy. The Idea of this panel was to show Mark and Snowy driving in a remote woodland area traveling to the next customer. This fits the requirement of picturing character in either a park or woodland. I really like how this drawing is going, there are definitely elements that need touching up and adjusting bur Im really happy with there mark making I have used so far, For example the pattern on the tree. However, to improve on this I want to make sure that the sky in each panel is different to avoid the effect that looked like I have just copied and paste. I also feel it will be effective to show this as it will show a change in time therefore showing the journey throughout the day.
